Pastor Steve Kim grew up in Northern Virginia and graduated
from Biblical Theological Seminary. His ministry experience
began in Philadelphia, where he served as senior pastor and
church planter for 16 years. Throughout that time, he felt a calling from the Lord to return home to serve in the Washington DC area. After several years of prayer, he decided to move back.
On August 1, 2010, Pastor Steve was installed as senior pastor of GCCC. He is joined by his wife, Soojin, and their three children: Josiah, Christian, and Abby. Besides the Bible, Pastor Steve draws his inspiration from "The Biggest Loser" and "Undercover Boss." He is also an Apple fan and holds a hidden appreciation for fashion and art.
Sam S. Kim

Pastor Sam S. Kim has served the local church for the past 19 years as a youth pastor, Christian Education Director, and English Ministry Pastor, and globally as a missionary. Since 2003, he and his family have lived and ministered in Northern Virginia. He is a graduate of Lafayette College and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He and his wife, Alice, have been married for over 10 years and enjoy raising their two adorable daughters, Olivia and Natalie.
His passions include mentoring/coaching, missions, preaching, and marriage/family... but Pastor Sam enjoys nothing more than meeting up over a cup of coffee (or a nice lunch buffet). He's an unashamed, unapologetic native of New Jersey, a lifelong fan of the New York Giants & Mets, has an unparalleled appetite for pizza (especially thin crust), and loves yard sales.
Noel de Santos

Noel de Santos grew up in Los Angeles and is a graduate of The Johns Hopkins University and the Georgetown University Law Center. He came to Washington DC and GCCC in the fall of 2003, began heading up the Prayer Ministry in early 2005, and started serving as Church Administrator in October 2010. Noel is married to his wonderful wife, Anastasia, who he met at GCCC. He has traveled to over 25 countries, once won a dance contest in Cuba, and is a passionate fan of his hometown Lakers and Trojans.
Shara Lee

Shara Lee grew up in Florida where she obtained her degrees in nursing and physician assistant studies. In 2008, God brought her to the Washington DC area where she eventually met her husband, Justin Lee. One of her deepest joys in life is teaching kids about God, which she's been doing since 1992. Thus, serving as GCCC’s Children's Coordinator is a dream job for her. Born in the Philippines and raised in Florida, Shara gets very excited when she sees snow.
Kandace Connor

Kandace Connor moved every three years growing up, so she really believes in "blooming where you are planted!" After graduating from Baylor University, she taught English in Chengdu, China. She met her husband, Phillip, at Golden Gate Seminary in California where their studies centered around missions and church planting. The Connor family moved to the Washington DC area in May of 2010. They have four children: Ephraim, Asher, Hosanna, and Judah. In her rare spare time, Kandace is trying to learn Spanish.
Job Zhang

Job Zhang grew up in Southern California. He graduated from University of California at Berkeley with a degree in Applied Math. In November 2007, Job moved from sunny California to the chilly East Coast due to a working opportunity. In his journey to search for God’s calling, he fell in love with the community at GCCC. In 2009, Job assumed the role of GCCC's Finance Administrator. In his spare time, Job enjoys playing competitive sports, watching ecletic movies, exploring culinary dishes, and traveling with his wife, Rachel.

Leadership Board
GCCC is governed by a Leadership Board that contributes to all major decision-making. Board members are elected by vote by GCCC members every two years. Current Leadership Board members are:
