    Memorial Day Potluck Do you like to eat? How about some frisbee on the grass? Come join us for a time of fellowship and fun at our annual Memorial Day BBQ Potluck. We will have hot dogs and hamburgers at Virginia Highlands Park after Service next Sunday, May 27, with outdoors sports and activities throughout the afternoon.     Volunteers Needed Children’s Ministry is currently looking for additional Teachers and Helpers. If you have a heart for children, discipleship, teaching or serving the church generally and would like help in any way, please contact Kandace Connor (kandaceconnor@gmail.com).

    Kids' Worship Kids' Worship is a unique worship time just for kids! Join us on May 20, starting at 10:45 am in the Nursery. Kids' Worship occurs every other month.

    Please note:

    GCCC will continue to meet at the Holiday Inn on Route 1 in Crystal City, VA until further notice.

    Parking is free in the hotel garage, which is accessible from both Route 1 and S. Eads St. The Holiday Inn is a short walk down S. Eads St. from the Crystal City Metro (< 0.7 mi) and a complimentary shuttle is scheduled for 10:20 am. The shuttle will pick up just outside the metro on 18th St. Please contact Michael Liu at welcome@greatcommissioncc.org if you have any questions.

    To walk from the metro, walk west from the 18t St. exit (under the overpass), turn left onto S.Eads St., and the Holiday inn will be on the left side of the street around 25th St., just after McDonald's.

    The change is necessary while the Residence Inn - Pentagon City undergoes renovations. No long term decisions regarding this location change have been made. Service will continue to start at 10:45 am. 

     

     

    Marine Corps Marathon | The annual marathon will take place on Sunday, October 30.  There will be will be road closures, additional traffic, and greatly reduced parking.  Please leave earlier than usual and take the Metro if possible.  For those with children, the Church will provide free parking in the Residence Inn's underground garage.  Please pick up a parking pass from an usher before entering the garage.  For more information about the course, please visit http://tinyurl.com/mcm2011.  More information regarding road closures will be distributed as it is made available.
