The Race and Justice Ministry Team (RJMT) aims to engage the GCCC community in doing  justice through awareness, learning, and action, rooted in Scripture and guided by the Holy Spirit.

In the past few years, this has taken place through book/media clubs, seminars, communal readings, and other events. RJMT also has helped the GCCC community engage in gun violence prevention efforts, pray faithfully for vulnerable communities, and strengthen our support for our local ministry partners, like Little Lights and their College and Career program.

As RJMT continues its ministry, the team is committed to responding to the evolving challenges of our time, particularly as we see increased injustice, extremism, and violence towards marginalized communities. It aims to do this through the following means:

  • Prayer and Discussion – Meeting regularly to pray as a group and to hold space for discussions that ground current events and justice work in faith.
  • Community Engagement – Championing Christ’s cause for GCCC by integrating justice conversations into existing ministries and regular church life.
  • Direct Action & Support – Creating opportunities for direct service, advocacy, and involvement, particularly through our local partners.
  • Education and Awareness – Hosting discussions on pressing issues and understanding justice through a gospel lens.

Whether you’re seeking a space for deep conversation, prayer, or active engagement, we invite you to join us in pursuing Christ-centered justice. If you’d like to connect with the team, you can email race.justice@greatcommissioncc.org.
